Empathy
Empathy is the ability to understand and share another person’s feelings and experiences by imagining yourself in their situation. It allows you to connect deeply with others, build meaningful relationships, and respond to their needs with compassion and understanding.
Empathy involves actively listening, acknowledging emotions, and offering support in a way that validates the other person’s perspective. It is a key component of emotional intelligence, fostering trust and mutual respect.
While empathy doesn’t require agreement with someone’s point of view, it does require a willingness to understand and accept their perspective, creating a foundation for stronger, more compassionate interactions.
